If you have ever been to NYC and entered a deli aka bodega, then you have most likely seen a bodega cat aka deli cat at work. These babies are more than just eye candy for the customers to gawk over and pet. Some are actually not even that friendly… Oh no. These feline friends are hired hands. They have a very important job to do and that is pest control. They lounge all day and accept payments of pets from locals coming in for a bacon, egg, and cheese with a coffee. But at night, these once-street cats are hard at work guarding the place of thieving rodents. It's a big city, rats and mice are everywhere. So, these cats don't mess around. They might be asleep on the bag of chips you want right now, but the only reason that bag of chips doesn't have a hole in the bag and an unpleasant surprise inside is because they are hard at work.
